Welcome to our little WordPress server for the Join the Fight! project, which has been temporarily commandeered as a possible gathering place while Balloon Juice is down. Hopefully the real site will be back before we know it!
So this is the post that will be the front door to any posts that are put up. The site is very rudimentary – we are not trying to recreate Balloon Juice because we have faith that the site will be back. If this first post doesn’t crash and burn. We’ll start by creating logins for the front-pagers who post most often, and I will happily create logins for all front-pagers who are interested.
The Join the Fight! project and the associated Social Media Initiative have this small WordPress site that we created so folks could download the short video and “print” pieces that we are creating so they can share them on the internet. So it’s not set up as a blog, but we can create blog posts.
There is no “front page” that lists all the blog posts because that’s not the purpose of the server, but we are going to see if we can make it work. Maybe think of it as camping in the back yard while they fix the roof on the house.
We’re going to have just a handful of categories: Open Thread, Politics, Respite, Political Action, War in Ukraine, Covid-19, etc.
This is how I’ve been feeling. How about you guys? What have you been up to?
